Clinical Supervision & Consultation

I am available for Clinical Supervision and Consultation and am a Certified Professional Clinical Supervisor in the State of Georgia.

The Composite Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Clinical Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists licenses me to practice in the State of Georgia.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#6862) in the State of Georgia and a Certified Professional Clinical Supervisor (#676) in the State of Georgia.

In the past, I have worked in a variety of settings including:

  • Private practice counseling adults, couples, teens

  • Hospital mental health crisis assessment

  • Emergency rooms to conduct mental health assessments

  • Mental health hospitals (inpatient, PHP, IOP) for teenagers and adults focusing on eating disorders, substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-harm, and personality disorders

Why should I seek outside supervision?

In addition to being aligned with best practices, an outside supervisor allows for a more authentic and genuine experience where you will be encouraged and supported to navigate situations that may arise within your area of directed experience in a safe space. If your director or employment supervisor is also your clinical supervisor, that is considered a dual relationship.

External supervision ensures a balance of particular functions in supervision with line management, choice is facilitated by the supervisee (Beddoe & Davys, 2016) and a space for the supervisee to reflect on practice away from the usual office space (Busse, 2009).

How do you work with supervisees?

I offer guidance with case conceptualization, identifying growth areas, professional development, and identifying and attracting your ideal client. I use approaches such as IFS, EMDR, DBT, RO-DBT, and ACT primarily. I am highly informed by the work of Brene Brown and Kristen Neff.

I am also a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and offer yoga-infused counseling which includes the 8 limbs of yoga (lots of somatic work). I completed the introduction training to Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders which is a somatic based modality.

What type of clients do you see?

My ideal client includes young adult/adult with anxiety, disordered eating, Type A, and perfectionist traits wanting to increase their self-compassion and define their self-worth while learning to effectively mange their anxiety in healthy ways. I also work with complex and developmental trauma and helping trauma survivors move from victim to survivor to thriver. I want my clients to feel empowered and embodied. I use bottom-up approaches in my clinical work such as EMDR and yoga-infused psychotherapy.
